Hi all, my name is Annie and about 2.5 years ago I was diagnosed with a large cell granuloma, and while it is benign I hope you all don't mind sharing your experiences with me. There is very little know about this type of tumor and a lot of the treatments are similar to how an oral cancer would be treated (hence how I came across your page). I have had 2 surgeries thus far and 6 wks of injections, but this tumor has a high rate of reoccurance (about 20%). On New Year's Eve I will have the lesion totally removed along with 2-3 of my teeth and a bone graft. There is a 50% chance they will need to wire my jaw shut for 6 wks bc it might be too weak and a 25% chance that the area will be too much of a mess and they will need to remove me jaw bone and replace it with my leg bone. that is wiring for 6 monhts (all during my 30th bday). Has anyone on here had any similar type of susurgeru and would care to share with me?
