Hi Bumps -
There are a lot of things that can cause those bumps, oral cancer is just one of them. Of course, the only reliable way to identify them is to go see your doctor; your primary care doctor is probably sufficient for the initial visit. If he thinks there is something worth looking at further, he should send you to an ear, nose and throat specialist (ENT).

If the ENT has cause for concern he will suggest a biopsy of the tissue. Doing a pathology exam of the biopsied tissue is the only reliable way to identify oral cancer.

How long have the bumps been present? If they go away in a week or two I wouldn't bother too much with it, but if they stick around longer, go see the doc.

And while you're at it, stop the tobacco use, in all forms. It just isn't worth it.
