As time goes on you will hopefully learn to not dwell on this so much. A recurrence is beyond your control. Worrying will only cause undue stress which isnt healthy.
I do understand you but please do something to help yourself. If your absolutely must go there, try to only allow yourself 5 minutes before you "change the channel" and focus on more positive things. With practice it gets easier to turn this off. Keeping busy with positive things also helps to keep your mind otherwise engaged.
