Good morning - I'm sorry you have to be here, but welcome to the family anyway.

Side effects from treatment can be anywhere from basically a non-event all the way up to miserable. Where your husband will fit on that spectrum is anyone's guess as none of us are the same.

Tell us some more about your husbands cancer so we can get to know him and you better and provide more relevant advice. Creating a signature at the bottom of your posts will help a lot. At the top of this page is a green triangle; click on it, select Edit Profile and near the bottom of the page is where you enter what you want to say. Click save when done. Read some other members posts to see the types of things they put in their signature to help you get an idea.

If your husband is also receiving radiation, being near the end of treatment any side effects he has will be near their worst. That worst will stick around for some weeks after treatment is over, but then things will start to slowly get better. I'm 4 months post treatment and most things have returned to normal except taste for food and throat dryness.

11/13 start rads, no chemo
12/13 taste gone, dry mouth,
02/14 hair slowly returning
05/14 taste the same, dry sinuses, irrigation helps.
01/15 food taste about 60% returned, dry sinuses are worse in winter.
12/20 no more sinus problems, taste pretty good
