Yes, HPV does cause anal cancers. I have come across 1 male who did have a recurrence of his head and neck cancer in the anal area. Though he had extensive invasion of his cancer with multiple recurrences. I don't think this is common. Please try not to let your mind get ahead of facts. As I said, a simple haemorrhoid comes to mind first.
Any chance of getting this checked out earlier than the 12 December? Otherwise it's a long time to worry, probably for nothing.

PET 6/11 clear.
R) level 2-4 neck dissection 8/1/11 to remove residual node - necrotic with NED
Feb '12 Ca back.. 3/8/12 total glossectomy/laryngectomy/bilat neck dissection/partial pharyngectomy etc. clear margins. All nodes negative for disease. PEG in.
March 2017 - 5 years disease free. Woohoo!
