Welcome, and congratulations on your treatment completions, StevenS. That was my diagnosis also of the tonsil, radiated both sides. The rope mucus usually lasts 2-3 weeks after treatment, and will start to subside leading to dry mouth. Seltzer water helps cut through mucus, pinapple, papaya juice also, and some have used mucinex, robotusem. Take care.
