OK, so MRI results are in and my weird alien growth is simply an inflammation. We don't know the source yet, but it is not a tumor of any kind.

Whew.

I am leaving for Napa this afternoon, and plan to be pleasantly toasted in wine country for a week. Happy to celebrating rather than drowning my sorrows.
