Ms Danner, thank you very much for everything you have done for The Oral Cancer Foundation. Your generosity and assistance with The Brude Paltrow Oral Cancer Fund have helped countless individuals. Your interview today was phenomenal!!! You touched my heart as you spoke of being a caregiver for your husband. Im very sorry for your loss. It takes a caregiver or fellow survivor to truly understand the horrors of battling oral cancer. Its a terrible disease which causes debilitating side effects and misery to the afflicted.

By your speaking out and helping to educate the public about oral cancer, the importance of oral cancer screenings and vaccinations you are saving lives. Your interview with Katie Couric hit every important point that the average person isnt aware of. People dont understand how deadly oral cancer is and the need for screenings. Thank you for being so brave as to get out there and talk about what Im sure is a very difficult subject for you. Ive seen other interviews you have done where you have managed to squeeze in a few things about oral cancer. You make the perfect spokesperson and advocate for an unknown disease. Thank you very much for bringing light to this deadly disease!!!!

As a 3 time oral cancer survivor I am very well aware of all the horrors an oral cancer patient goes thru. I am now disfigured after losing half my lower jaw. Even though I am disfigured, I consider myself one of the lucky ones. I am a volunteer board administrator for OCF. Brian also has me speak at some of the OCF awareness walks. This small non profit is my favorite charity and very dear to my heart. Without OCF, I probably wouldnt be here right now. Brian and some other members convinced me to not give up before I at least tried to beat my illness for the third time. I could never forget their kindness and generosity and I will always support my fellow oral cancer patients and caregivers.

It takes someone affected by oral cancer either as a patient or caregiver to truly understand just how brutal a disease this can be. We all bond and are like family, we all 'get it'. Having you as a part of this is an honor. While Im very sorry you are part of this family, it is an honor to have you among us. With your help, oral cancer may finally get the attention it deserves. Im sure your interview today helped to encourage parents to vaccinate their children against the cancer causing strains of HPV. Just think, you have helped save others from ever having to go thru oral cancer treatments and all the struggles that go along with it.

Thank you, you are a true heroine smile
