Treatment choices were iv with heperin and be admitted or a lovenox injection with an Rx to self administer at home. With only 4 radiation treatments to go, if he was admitted it would have to be postponed. The oncologist recommended the lovenox route which we did.
Has anybody else experienced this? I'm really concerned about some of the clot breaking off and making it's way to the lungs. In my research I'm getting mixed opinions as to what is best. We're now down to 3 radiations to go.
