I am five years out and occasionally still have pain in my left Eustachian tube. It is especially affected during allergy seasons. I sometimes put a little Peroxide in the bottle cap and pour in my ear then clean the ear with a Q-tip. In a few days it goes away. My doc basically said the same thing. The radiation damaged the Eustachian tube. At least I can still hear though!
