I agree with living life to the fullest and enjoying each day. None of us know what the future holds. When I get asked what Kris's prognosis is I reply with "What's yours?" Who knows?
But, It certainly is no joy belonging to the reoccurrence club. It takes the wind out of ones sails and leaves you floundering and gasping for breath , again.
I have learnt from this site though that one can get through another round of treatment. You can pick yourself up and start again, ever hopeful, still with trepidation.
And yes, everything else is "small stuff".

PET 6/11 clear.
R) level 2-4 neck dissection 8/1/11 to remove residual node - necrotic with NED
Feb '12 Ca back.. 3/8/12 total glossectomy/laryngectomy/bilat neck dissection/partial pharyngectomy etc. clear margins. All nodes negative for disease. PEG in.
March 2017 - 5 years disease free. Woohoo!
