OP "Above & Beyond" Member (500+ posts) Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 945 | The pathology reporting got back early � the swelling is a lipoma � a non-malignant fatty tumor. They were able to remove about 70% of it in the biopsy. The doctor expects the surgical swelling to begin reducing in a day or two, and the flappy throat skin (currently making a truly appalling noise when she pants) to tighten up in a week to ten days.
With a little luck, the work they did on her should keep her breathing more easily for a while without any more procedures. Thanks for all of your support and understanding! Maria
