Over the last month I have shared the downs and ups of my 2 biopsy surgeries. On Tuesday of this week I met with my ENT and got the final pathology results. Of 5 additional biopsy samples taken all came back negative. Same goes with the panendoscopy results.
My tongue seems to be healing well. I'm experiencing very little pain. My weight has stabilized and I'm beginning to sleep somewhat better.
My ENT doctor will continue to monitor my progress. My next follow up appointment is the end of January. No CT scans or MRIs planned. So, for now, everything is okay.
Thanks to everyone who wrote and supported me. Your words were encouraging and very informative at a time when I really needed some rational input.
By the way, I met two oral cancer survivors in my home town over the last week. One is a 9 year survivor. Both are still working at their old jobs.
