there is a side effect associated with cisplatin which is specifically associated with sensitivity to cold and even more specifically - touching cold things (a feeling of mild electric shock when picking up a cold drink for example). The name escapes me right now but I will remember it at 3am in the morning and post then . Peripheral neuropathy is also a common side effect of cisplatin. Sounds to me like you have some sort of variation on a cisplatin induced neuropathy?

Also, thyroid damage might make you sensitive to cold too ... just a thought...
