Hello all, I thought I would follow up and let everyone know that my surgery went well! The doctor was able to get all the tumor, plus clear margins and biopsies came back negative. NO CANCER!! so, I'm in the clear - no chemo or radiation. He said we will need to keep an close eye on it. I have read that 1 in 4 people with head and neck cancer - will get a secondary form of head and neck cancer. frown I try not to listen to the statistics - but still sticks in my mind.

Now I just need to work on my voice - not so good. Hoping it will get better with time and therapy. smile

1/10/12 laryngoscopy
1/12/12 diagnosed with laryngeal cancer (T1N0M0) HPV+
2/1/12 had partial laryngectomy
2/7/12 post op appt. surgery seems to be a success (no other treatment needed). Praise God! smile smile smile
3/20/12 6 week follow up. all seems to be well
