Clever of you to get the scans compared and I'm so glad things are looking clear for you. I love what you said about having to trust doctors at some point. I can't quite do that in my present scanario but what I have to do is get the situation cleared up, explained clearly and then figure out a way I can "go forward" without these biopsies causing me to fret so much. One of my friends is so furious about my having to wait till after Christmas for the ultrasound/FNA that I now have to calm her down. Heck, I might try to ring the ENT guy and ask if I can have a normal ultrasound of my neck before I go to Auckland. We are both in countries with socialised medicine; cool that we don't have to pay but - in NZ - anyway, we get no choices ....
1996, ovarian cancer surgery + cisplatin and taxol. September, 2007, SCC of left lateral tongue. Excision. October, 2009 recurrence in scar tissue, T1NOMO. Free flap surgery from left wrist - neck dissection. 63 year old New Zealander. No chemo, no RT. February, 2014. New primary in left buccal mucosa. Marginal mandibulectomy, neck dissection, right arm free forearm flap. T1N0M0 but third occurrence and some areas of concern: RT started 8 April and finished 19 May.
