I had TORS for a thankfully benign growth at the base of the tongue a few months ago. The surgery was going to be by laser but as Dr. O'Malley was going to be here observing at that time and because it was to involve less bleeding and a better chance of healing I had the TORS. The only after effect was that I had a sore throat that reminded me of post tonsillectomy many years ago. According to scans I have healed well. My only regret is that R2D2 wasn't there so I could have an autograph or picture for the grandsons. I say thank G-d that we live in an age when technology and dedicated people with goood ideas use it to are making dialy progress in so many areas that really count.
