Yes, taking ice chips or sucking ice candy was recommended by my dad's MO but he did not go for it as his teeths did not permit (side effect of previous RT in 09').

I had also checked with MO regarding Caphosol mouth rinse but he adviced against it saying that it is not worth the money.
