Christine,
This is coincidental because I was just searching on the internet for home remedies for thrush. On the University of Iowa Hospitals website, among their tips for thrush, is to eat plain unsweetened yogurt to help change the pH of the mouth. Also to eat such yogurt with antibiotics. So then I decided to search here & noticed your post!

I have a slightly different problem, some brown patches which they told me were bacteria (dry tongue combined with a course of antibiotics) at my regular check-up recently. They just told me to brush my tongue and use baking soda to help change the pH. They (ENT & personel at MD Anderson) said it was like thrush in regard to an unbalanced mouth environment. So then I was looking up thrush. I guess mine is getting better, it just isn't gone and the soda makes my mouth drier.

Anyway, I eat a lot of plain yogurt too. So you might not need to stop eating yogurt. I think the deal with eating yogurt when you have thrush is that it might not clean off the tongue as easily. Personally, I am thinking of trying probiotics for the first time in my life.
