Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 5,260 | Sometime the pain is constantly there even with Percocet every 4 hrs, methadone twice a day and Morphine in between as needed. This along with Magic Mouthwash before meals and at bedtime. The pain lingers as a part of your being. I do my best to live my life as it comes and enjoy it. I tossed the morohine and lie with the pain by keeping busy and I bet your husband can do it too. It's a mind thing I think and he can control his mind and go one. Hell, I'm 75 and enjoy my life and live alone. Just do your best and be his cheerleader.
Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.
