Joined: May 2009 Posts: 1,412 | Scar tissue can cause sever pain. I have had several bouts of sever pain on the right side of my tongue. Gte it biopsied and it is "scar tissue." My RO and ENT said that scar tissue can cause sever pain and that is one of the side effects of radiation. They were warning me because of all the problems I did have.
