Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 5,260 | I agree with the pad and pen. I had them but afer the 1st time using them, I just forced myself to talk ad the pain was nmo worse. It's like when I worked, If I flet bad from Phneumonia or anything else. I would tell my wife that I was going to work as I hurt no worse working than. You can surprise yourself as to what you are capable of. I'm not tough, just a hardhead.
Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.
