hi all,
well i will cut to the chase.. all clear !!
went and when i got in to see someone ( within 2 or 3 minutes, place was empty again ) it was the girl who done my biopsy, she looked at the notes and realised the results were not there,
so she went to get them from upstairs or was going to phone patholigist in glasgow dental hospital, she dissapeared and then the consultant popped her head in said hello and went to phone as well, some kind of aux nurse i think was in the room doing some things and spoke away to me keeping me calm but i think she could see i was quite nervous,
eventually some one totally different appeared with my results which kinda scared me, but she sat down and straight away said what i had been hoping to hear for four months " there is absolutely nothing nasty or to worry about there, it has came back much the same as last time, irritation with slight inflamation at edges, no sign of dysplasia of any malignancy whatsoever ", man i could have cried with sheer relief.
asked her what i could do to help myself and she said i was already doing it, no smoke no drink, which i will never do any of again.....thats a promise !!!!!
said they would like to take a look at it again in 6 months just incase i didnt visit the dentists regularly, but tmy dentists is a place i will visit regularly now , no doubt,
wow the relief tonight is so strong i am so happy and cant wait to enjoy time with my daughter.
i am defo not going to dissapear off this site if its o.k with yous, i have shed alot of tears for alot of you people in the last few months of dark clouds and terror worries, and feel so so much for what yous have been through.
i am going to try and knowledge local high school kids to the dangers of smoking and alcohol abuse ( i know not everyone with o.c are drinkers or smokers, but im sure it doesnt help ),and its effect in alot of o.c cases by hopefully making up some sort of booklet and try to get local funding or help to make this possible.
i would be grateful if i could maybe use a paragraph or 2 of some peoples storys ( obv i wont attatch names ) but im sure images matched with some of the harrowing treatments and surgery could change the attitude towards smoking, cos it defo aint cool, and ive learned after 16 years at it, with a big fright.
i now intend to buy loads of the badges from the site shop area to hand in to my dentists office, in the hope that it can be some sort of contribution to the running of this site.
i will be visiting on the regular ( prob daily ) to see how things go for all.
i wish everyone the best as i have been humbled in the presence of your individual strenghth and courage.
thanks to everyone who replied to me and made me feel so much better.
love to best wishes to all
Derek
