It is normal to be nervous about your Thursday appointment.
You need to make sure that someone is with you for support and to take notes and as Anne-Marie says have a list of all your questions.
If there is something that you are told that you do not understand make sure you get it explained to you until you do.
I did not find this site until a year after my first appointment and remember I just nodding my head even when I did not know what was being said and blindly accepted what was in front of me.
This is no time to be shy which is the normal effect that professional people have on most of us.

History Leukoplakia bx 8/2006 SCC floor mouth T3N0M0- Verrucous Carcinoma.
14 hour 0p SCC-Right ND/excision/marginal mandibulectomy 9/2006, 4 teeth removed, flap from wrist, trach-ng 6 days- no chemo/rad.
6 ops and debulking (flap/tongue join) + bx's 2006-2012.
bx Jan 2012 Hyperkeratosis-Epithelial Dysplasia
24cm GIST tumour removed 8/2013. Indefinite Oral Chemo.
