Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 5,260 | Angelia, you need a Pain Management Team. Between them they will figure out what types of meds to give you. I had 4 they gave me but I gave 2 of them up and just take percs and methadone. Talk to your Oncologist and Ent as mine work together and they called the Dr that was in charge of my Chemo to help them. I wish I would have kept taking the Morphine for breakthru pain tho.
Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.
