Dont forget about FMLA. You have the right to take up to 12 weeks off from work for a situation like this. The best person to answer this question is your doctor who knows you the best. Its a very difficult question to answer as there are so many "what if's".
While everyone is differnt most of us who had radiation have missed some time from work. The first time I had oral cancer and did radiation I missed 3 months of work. Round number 2 I missed about the same amount, that time was surgery. Last year I had a major surgery to remove my jawbone so I missed alot of work, I think 9 months.
