Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 96 | I also used to have a hole in the roof of my mouth but that has been closed due to reconstruction surgery. I will say that in my case it did get better after a couple of years. I think part of it is your body getting used to having it there and you figuring out ways to minimize it happening.
