Well I am back. The surgery went well and after about the first 4 days things got better. Man, its amazing how quick we lose weight after a few days on a clear liquid diet. I lost about 8lbs in 5 days. Which isn't really a bad thing.

Anyway, I am happy with the results so far. I have to keep stretching and moving my tongue so it doesn't grow back down (which is a little painful) but am pushing through. I have touched the roof of my mouth with my tongue for the first time in almost a year. I can almost lick my own lips and I don't have to use my finger quite as much to move my food around. WooHoo!! So so far so good. I am hoping that once my tongue is completely healed I will be able to go totally off the pain meds.
