Hey!! My sister had her partial (3/4) glossectomy on June 2. So we are about 8 weeks post surgery. Her speech is about 90-95%. She has trouble with double t's( like better or little) but otherwise she is doing well. She went back to work about a month after surgery( she works with animals and was afraid of the hair getting into her wrist where they took the flap from or she would have been there sooner). Friday is her last day of work for 6 weeks due to her radiation treatment. The hospital she is going to is about an hour drive away so she will be staying in cancer society housing. She was eating soft food about 2 weeks after she was home and about a week after that she was back to whatever she wanted. She did have some complications after like stitches coming out to soon in the hospital so u might be even faster. Tomorrow we are making a thanksgiving dinner for her.
