I guess I should speak up too...
Mild dysplasia: normal or mildly disordered basal layer with retained maturation and stratification of upper layers; mild nuclear atypia and possibly mitotic figures in basal third of epithelium; no abnormal mitotic figures; variable keratosis and chronic inflammatory infiltrate
Or, as some one famous here always says, they are "cells which are no longer normal, but they are not really malignant yet...an in-between state, so to speak. Dysplasia's also do not always go completely over to the dark side, but they are a step in that direction"
The hyperkeratosis is just thickening cells.
So, to sum it all up in english, the results from the biopsy are "NON Cancerous, abnormal group of thick cells......"
I'll just have to remain watchful for "things", but who isn't doing that already.
