after 3 weeks in the hospital I have made back to my apartment. The flip set in really good. Just had a few set backs, it took about 2 weeks before the wounds in mouth to start to heal. Then one day it turned pink and started to heal. The Dr. said it would take around 1 to 2 month for the wound to heal. slowness of the healing is due to the radiation treatment 3 years ago. I still have good days and bad days. Today I feel supper tired and all I want to do is sleep.

Right now I have a feeding tube in and cannot wait until I can eat again. But have to wait for the trach area to heal up. They say it should be closed up in about 1 to 2 weeks. Things are healing, just really slow.

Round 1 5/2007 - 35 Rad treatments and 6 chemo of cisplatin
TPN feeding for 5 months during treatment and after.
Tumor was on the right side of the tongue.

Round 2. Tumor on the lower back right jaw area. Surgery on 3/12/2010 to remove the tumor, rebuild the jaw and some work on the back tongue.
