I have some fluid buildup sometimes on the right side and I've gotten some sinus swelling due to the radiation and neck dissection I'm assuming.I'm glad you have gotten a good PT. Massage helps me the most and also building up a sweat seems to also help me the most with drainage of this extra fluid... I'm not sure if your husband is able to excercise much though. So sorry you are going through a hard time with the side effects of the surgery. I hope things improve. I know it must be difficult and very frustrating- especially the swallowing and eating. Maybe the PT will have some reccomendations on thigs to try and also investigate more swallowing speech therapists who have been able to crack difficult cases. Maybe there is someone else who can help with patients who have had lymphadema issues like this effecting swallowing.
