the RO said that his treatment would start again on MARCH 8. she said it would ONLY be 5 IMRT X 2 carboplatin.
i do not think that 5 more is going to effect him too much. i know he will be fatigued, maybe nauseous. i hope i am right in assuming this since this is what i am telling him to keep him from freaking.
he has made a remarkable recovery. eats 100% orally, all kinds of foods--even steak even though taste buds arent great. weened off of pain meds completely. talks easily (and being a new yorker--really fast and loud lol) . helps around the house, little stuff but 100% more than before).
i am extremely happy with his progress. as much trouble as he had with treatment...i thought he would be in for a loooong recovery. he is still very weak but getting stronger each day.
