Kelly makes a great point. I was on liquid oxycodone for breakthrough pain. It absorbs faster buccally (by mouth) however if it hurts too much to swallow then it's easy to shoot it through the tube. It's fast acting either way and didn't taste bad to boot. It's easy to miss your dosage with the liquid stuff so make sure you follow directions.
