I had one of those after permanent trach surgery and just used humidfier for same reasons you are. Dr orders Nebulizer, insurance pays for it, do you really need it? If not dump it. You may not want to send back until you are certain you don't need it. I used it before I went to bed and during day, but not at night. Even my humidifier is too nosy these days. Hope you get some good sleep without meds.
