Consider me in that "weird subgroup" because even now, after 2 years, I still have symptoms most people have long gotten over after radiation/chemo. I keep going from one doctor to another to be sure they are chemo/radiation related, and so far, they seem to be. I even had my gall bladder removed last week, and it appears that was for nothing. I have excess mucus in my mouth all the time and it has a horrible taste (excuse me, snotty, yuk). Now, an allergist seems to think I have some sort of allergy. Go figure.

Nov 2007 SCC on right tonsil following tonsillectomy. Was smoker, QUIT. (Stage IV T2 N2b) 7 weeks radiation one day/wk chemo (carboplatin and 5-FU). Allergic to Taxol; PEG in, lost 30 lbs. TX completed January 2008. PEG out mid- 2008. PET/CT 1/17/2011;2/3/12 NEGATIVE for cancer
