You can take an amazing amount of luggage and they don't care what you bring on or check in as long as it's not dangerous stuff like explosives or corrosive materials. They say that you are subject to screening but all I've encountered is that everything you carry on must be tagged. I have seen people boarding with more stuff than 3 people could take on a plane. Besides carry ons you can check in 3 bags plus another 3 at $10 each. The seats are much mre comfortable and spacious than on a plane or car and you have plenty of space to miove around.
The only advantage of air travel over stagecoach is that planes have bathrooms and usually can get you further in less time.
