Joined: Nov 2008 Posts: 72 | Sorry to hear of your recurrance. I had a partial gloss in Dec of last year & partial neck dissection. No rads or chemo at that time. I had recurrance in June...I started weekly Taxol/Carboplatin & radiation daily for 8 weeks total 37 tx with boost. The chemo sensitizes the cells so that the radiation "will work better". The chemo has treated me well. A little nausea a few days after treatment & some diarrhea. Mostly tired. Hope this helps!! Good luck!
