Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 51 | Looks like surgry date of 11/2 to remove new SCC found on 10/15 and another found (not visible to eye)in right jaw muscle.
Since RT didn't kill all first time, Dr says this time Tx should be both RT and chemo six wks after surgery. He is awaiting confirmation that I can receive more RT before finallizing treatment plan.
Q: Has anyone gone through similar due to recurrance? and what should I expect from chemo? will this work in conjuntion w/RT to help kill any remaining?
57 YO, Dx 10/08 with oral cancer, Surgery 11/08 followed by six weeks of RT treatment with the MASK.
Follow up on 10/15/09 found a soft spot, which turned out to be SCC. Don't know if I can receive more radiation or not since I've already received full dose.
