OP "Above & Beyond" Member (500+ posts) Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 618 | I Finished my 35th IMRT today. Looking forward to healing up and being able to eat some solid food. I won't miss the 1-hour drive each way to the CCC, and I get my mornings back.
All in all they said things went as well as they can. I did not get the PEG but was able to maintain my weight, although on some days I wish I had it. I also developed ulcers on my tongue and that's been a big problem. But now that the treatments are done, I can look forward to some improvement as the weeks go by instead of the steady downward trend I had been on.
My goal is to be able to eat a steak by Christmas.
