Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 31 | I'm starting my 4th week of Rads and cisplatin and everthing I eat taste like salt water. I gargle religiously with salt and baking soda. I would like to try povidone Iodine but dont know whether to dilute it. 10-20 milliters or 7.5 % is the recommended dosage 4 times a day. Is this straight out of the bottle? It is recommended for chem mucositis prevention.

Age 50 at DX July 13 2009. T1N2BMO, stage III BOT-2 nodes right side, HPV negative, drinker-smoker, cisplatin x 3 IMRT x 39 70 GY, pegged and ported. Started treatment on 8-3 2009. Selective neck disection 11/30/2009, 9 nodes removed-neg pathology
