I don't have soreness in my mouth unless I eat or drink, so who knows what that is. I just got a PET date scheduled for the 15th, which will be just 9 1/2 weeks after the end of treatment.
I am seeing my H&N surgeon two days before that, so I will ask him if he thinks it's too early. Radiation oncologist thought I was good to go.

That would be 9 weeks after the end of radiation, which seems too soon. I'm seeing H&N surgeon on Monday, and will ask him if it's reasonable.
Also, my nearest oncologist appointment is three weeks after the scan. I don't think I can handle waiting this long to hear the results, so even if they do scan me then, I'll probably try and reschedule appointments for a closer date, although I've been bumped and bumped and bumped and I don't see anyone on a monthly schedule anymore. If it's 6 weeks, it's a blessing.
