I just found out that a very dear friend of mine's father was diagnosed with stage 4 Renal cell carcinoma (kidney's) They are headed down to MD Anderson on Tuesday. Please pray for this family they have been through enough. My friend just lost her grandfather to cancer a few months ago and now her dad is fighting for his life. They knew he had cancer, but did not know how bad it was. I just want to scream and cry and all of it. and you know as those questions that no one has the answer to. Why? Why? Why? It is not fair. I was doing okay emotionally until I got this news. Did I mention it is just not fair. Thanks for letting me vent a little. Please be in prayer for this family. My friends first name is Charity. Thanks all.

Prayers to the Best Listener help too Blessings to you, Angelia.

I am on the young side of the "baby boomer" generation and I know our CancerCare facility/staff are gearing for huge increases in cancer numbers as this group ages.
We joked one night at our Head and Neck Cancer support group (called "A Head Above") that we almost felt LUCKY to have the cancer now as we have great auxilliary resources at our disposal - everything from therapy through art, to yoga, dieticians, physio, etc, etc, etc - not to mention the big ticket RO, MO, Surgeons - but what will happen once this cancer ridden population glut hits the system?
Cancer truly sucks.

They had a horrible visit with an oncologist in our town. She said that this Dr. pretty much told them to try a certain medicine and see if it would work. She did tell me that she has been scheduling all appointments as her mother is not doing well emotionally. Her mother just lost her father to cancer and is now looking at the possibility of losing her husband. They are going to MD Anderson on Tuesday and I pray that they will give them more answers and more hope.
