History Leukoplakia bx 8/2006 SCC floor mouth T3N0M0- Verrucous Carcinoma. 14 hour 0p SCC-Right ND/excision/marginal mandibulectomy 9/2006, 4 teeth removed, flap from wrist, trach-ng 6 days- no chemo/rad. 6 ops and debulking (flap/tongue join) + bx's 2006-2012. bx Jan 2012 Hyperkeratosis-Epithelial Dysplasia 24cm GIST tumour removed 8/2013. Indefinite Oral Chemo.
  1/31/16  passed away peacefully surrounded by family

     Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan.  I averaged  about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there.  w  Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube .  Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April. --- Passed away 5/14/14, will be greatly missed by everyone here

(Catholic Heaven has ultra broadband wireless universal internet access).  I miss you Patty, My caregiver wife, who reads some posts, was touched by your stories about "furkids" and your sister and your extended family here on OCF.  You were and remain inspirational,  Who else would have such an effect on everybody that a dire announcement of a inooperable recurrence would trigger such diverse responses. She was my buddy. I just had a message from her and she told me she was just going to be outside with her dogs in the sun when she got strong enough. Damn it all, too bal we have no idea when will be.  For some reason, I just had to go in the woods behind my house this morning and then to a stream I have that runs thru it.  I must have taken that walk for Patty because I had no reason to got. Sure gonna miss you Patty and be lonesome.  Let them see how special you are in heaven and let them know how much you were loved on earth by people like me. Sitting here with tears in my eyes. JUst to exchange one more email. can't see so I better get out of here,, Patty these tears are for the laughs we had.. Farewell until I meet you there when I hit that 100 we talked about..../.

Sandy 56, BOT SCC Biopsy 1/21/09 Stage 3, T3NXM0.  Finished 3 cycle induction chemotherapy 4/7/09. (Chisplatin, 5-fu and Texotere). Re-staged 4/20/09,(very successful.) Will start Carboplatin/radiation 2 Gy/5 days/7 weeks (Tomotherapy) starting May 4th. Finished 6/22/09.  OCF member/supporter

Lori, cg to H Ron, age 56. Stage IV Oral SCC-T1N2. Tongue resected and right ND 8/05. Teeth removed, PORT, PEG, IMRT x33, Cisplatin x3. Tx ended 10/05. Recurrence 7/08 Stage IV. Surgery 8/30/08.  2nd recur. 11/08. 2nd surgery 2/2/09. 3rd recur. 4/9/09. Erbitux wkly. 5/09-?  Ron died 6/6/09. I posted a message and it was really nice to see a picture of Patty.  I will miss her positive support and cheerful attitude, but am very grateful to God that she is no longer in pain.  What a shame.

She must have really not been feeling well these past few weeks. I am glad that she is no longer in pain.
