If you have a sore in your mouth that has not healed within 2 weeks then its time to go see a doctor. You can start with either your family doctor or dentist. If they think it could be possibly something serious they will send you to an oral surgeon or sometimes an ENT for a biopsy. Call for an appointment tomorrow. I'm not sure what they will take a biopsy of, your tongue bump and or your neck mass. I had what is called a FNA (Fine Needle Aspiration) of one swollen node in my neck. It was like a long shot and that was it. It took well over a week for the results to come back. Then they put me under and took a piece of my base of tongue and did the biopsy while I was asleep. My mouth was sore for a weekend.

I was glad he did that and the Drs that followed did the same. You will hurt after but it quits in a few days and really isn't that bad. I will be getting biopsies taked out of my esophagus Monday but will be sleeping thru them. Just go with the flow and you will be fine babygirl. Don't look at the needles either.
