Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 3,552 | In the most general sense all cancers have some commonality but I am not aware of a specific genetic kink between lung small oat cell and SCC. They would be two different forms of cancer.

A very close realtive had small cell lung cancer and another relative told me that they thought there was a genetic link between that and scc which I am being treated for. As a mum I was worried about the implications of this possible connection.
