Eileen,

I'm so sorry to hear this news, after what you've been through the past few years. However, I'm glad his treatments were able to give him some additional time with his family. It's been said here many times, and it's still true -- every day is a gift.

Eileen,

I am truly sorry to hear of Bob's passing. My tears of sadness turned to smiles of warmth as I read your post and the incredible strength you have shown me as well as your amazing way of looking at parts of the journey that many would be angry about and finding that bit of light in even the darkest of times. I was especially touched at how the time you and Bob had of late was not clouded by the devestation that accompanies the news of recurrence.

You were truly blessed by the chain of miracles in your life just as I have been blessed to be part of the journey with you and Bob. May your heart always be filled with His love and may your memories be filled with the joys of life you and Bob shared.

Ed

Eileen,

I am sorry to hear of your sad news. I agree with Ed that at least the last few months were filled with hope and not dread-each new day we are all here is a day of hope. Be well

Dear Eileen,

I am so sorry to hear about Bob and admire your strength and grace in handling all of this. It sounds like you had a wonderful marriage and that you are taking comfort from those memories.

There are so many things that we just don't know with cancer, despite the improvements in treatments. I think you have put this in the right perspective to appreciate the things that went right instead of the things that are hard to figure out.

I am glad that you and Bob got those extra 3 years together. Please let us know how you are doing.

Regards JoAnne
