Hey there, Jim. I believe Suzanne is the bride-to-be. I've been married now for almost 35 years! And, we're definitely holding on to each other. Thanks for the good wishes tho. Take care - Nancy

I know some of you were interested in the outcome of my mom's test results. The dr. told her this morning that she had "a little cancer" in her lymph node in her neck. I think he was trying to break the news gently that she has it again. He said it would need to be removed and he wanted it removed before March 20th. Said it may not may not affect a nerve going to the right corner of her mouth. I asked her if he mentioned radiation/chemo and she said he told her they would have to wait until the surgery and see how everything was. She is down to 108 lbs. now and wants to know how she can keep her weight on. During the three bouts w/mouth cancer before she's lost about 80 pounds - she doesn't have another 80 to lose. Any ideas for fattening her up? She's in pretty good spirits. Says that life doesn't have any guarantees so she is putting it in the Lord's hands.

Try a few chocolate peanut butter milk shakes per day and it will hopefully put some weight on your mom. At one point I was drinking 2 or 3 per day for several weeks.

Its easy and has alot of calories, at least 2500.

All ingredients are approximate.

3 cups chocolate ice cream
2 cups whole milk
3/4 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup choc. syrup
1/2 cup carnation instant breakfast

Christine, I made spaghetti nd meatballs today. I overcooked everything so it would be tender. That's the best tasting 1 bite or two I have had in ages.,I had 3 small saucers of it that I mashed with my fork. it was kinda messsy lookin but good. I tried the roasted pecan syrup . It's very tasty for the 1 bit or 2. Not much burning either.

Nancy

Hope it works for you. Im not doing the best since surgery, so need to take my own advice and drink a shake everyday again. Glad you posted, it reminded me to pay more attention to my intake. Thanks
