Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 10 | Hi David, thanks for your info, I did wonder why no chemo, they said it wouldnt be beneficial for her cancer - I have to say I thought chemo was for non surgical treated cancers but the man she met that had been through this before had chemo 1 day per week - I will speak to them to try and understand why no chemo and let you know, thankyou!
Mum: rare muco epidermoid carcinoma of left tongue base. Partial glossectomy with radial free flap reconstruction, left modified neck dissection, tracheostomy. Due to undergo radiotherapy.
