Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 248 | Yes Amy my chemo drugs did change but to be honest I think Gary is on the right page, My induction therapys goal was to get me in remmission for a transplant I don't even want to make pretend how this applies to solid tumors. My thoughts are with you.

Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 3,552 | Cisplatin isn't supposed to have as great an effect on the bone marrow so stem cell transplants are typically not necessary. There are other forms of chemo that will take out the bone marrow so BMT's must be done.
